The Avon Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the maintainence of the Avon Town Hall Park, Recreation and beautification in the Town of Avon.
Current Facilities consist of the following:
- 70 Total Acres
- 20 acres of usable open space
- 5 acres of Natural Indiana Praire
- 9 acre Scenic Lake with Overlook Structure
- 15 acres of Woods
- 2 Playgrounds
- Disc Golf Course
- 1.5 miles of 10' paved multiuse trails
- Professional Landscaping
- Bird Houses
- Traditional Barn
Coming in 2007!
- Large Shelter with restrooms
- Construction of an additional .5 mile of 10' paved trail
- Parks Maintenance Building
- Design of Trail from US 36 to CR 100 S along White Lick Creek. Town received $665,000 Grant from the State. Construction anticipated in 2008-2009.
